We strive to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. It’s part of our mission to engage students, families and the community to help students become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. Please come visit so that I can personally show you why our school is such a great place for students and their families!

The faculty and staff of John Trotwood Moore Middle School continue a tradition of excellence in providing quality educational experiences for our students. We offer the structure, academic environment and caring atmosphere to enable students to be successful. Each student is treated with respect and encouraged to reach his or her highest potential. A broad curriculum meets the academic needs of students at all educational levels.
J.T. Moore is an International Baccalaureate World School that feeds into the IB Diploma Programme at Hillsboro High School. Community service is a critical component of the IB program of study, and we strive to help students understand and embrace its importance. Additionally, teachers receive ongoing training in this academically challenging curriculum.
Extracurricular activities offer many opportunities for additional success for our students. J.T. Moore has built a reputation for excellence in sports by winning several city championships.
The J.T. Moore PTO is also outstanding. The faculty and staff are most appreciative of the support we receive from this strong organization. We believe that we truly form a partnership in doing all we can to make this school the best it can be.

At J.T. Moore, we believe students should be able to explore and express their developing personalities through their personal attire, so we do not require a uniform or standard school attire. However, with privilege comes responsibility. Please review the Dress Code policy that our students are required to follow.
