Welcome From the Principal
Welcome to Inglewood Elementary School! We are proud to be an Environmental Sciences STEAM Magnet School. From engaging in regular STEAM challenges to developing knowledge of all subjects in small, learner focused-classrooms, the opportunities available for our students are truly endless.
As a long-time East Nashville educator and resident, I am incredibly proud to be the principal at Inglewood. Our team is hard at work to ensure our children feel loved and prepared to lead choice-filled lives. Our teachers and staff are committed to meeting the needs of all of our children. This means helping students develop the academic knowledge and skills needed for success while also cultivating social and emotional skills required to be strong teammates.
Our team welcomes visitors and would be excited to give you a tour of our school to highlight the opportunities available for students here and to answer any questions you may have about our offerings. We hope to see you in our hallways soon!

The mission of Inglewood Elementary School is to build a community of lifelong learners equipped with the skills and experiences to be successful in life.
We are dedicated to achieving the mission and vision of our school through high-quality academic instruction as well as social emotional support for all students. We are focused on increasing student engagement through STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education. We are also dedicated to meeting every child’s social and emotional needs with group and individual counseling. Our Advanced Academics Resource Teacher (AART) helps meet the unique needs of our gifted and talented students, providing students with a stronger advanced academic continuum throughout their education.
Inglewood Elementary engages students through critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication in a warm, rigorous environment. The school’s unique approach to learning ensures every student experiences integrated instruction specializing in the Environmental Sciences. STEAM Challenges provide students with the opportunity to design potential solutions to real world environmental issues through literacy, math, science and social studies. Solutions are developed utilizing the Engineering Design Process and abundant technology. STEAM is further enhanced through enrichment opportunities including off-site and on-site field trips, onstage performances, creative after-school care, FUSE Studio challenges, and STEAM enrichment clubs.
