Welcome From the Principal
Chad High
Principal
Welcome to Granbery Elementary! Our school opened in 1964 and has been a shining light in the community for over 50 years.
Our mission is to ensure all students learn, respect others and are prepared for the next step. I love the cultural and economic diversity of our students and our strong staff who works hard to provide for each and every one of them. As evidenced by our active PTA, our parents are also very supportive.
I believe families choose us because we’re a well-established school with a great reputation where children can grow and learn. I look forward to the opportunity to welcome you and your family.

Pathways
School Description
Granbery serves 740 students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. We offer programs that challenge students to think and create, helping them excel. We also encourage exploration of talents in the arts. We have an innovative library media center and a guidance program that helps students with academic and personal development. Our wonderful staff works hard to see that our students have a successful social, emotional and academic experience. They strive to create a learning environment that is safe, nurturing and where all children can learn.
Courses in our curriculum include Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Related Arts classes like Art, Music, Physical Education and Computer class. Classroom guidance and character education, library and information literacy and exceptional education are also established programs. Encore is a program that supports our gifted students, ensuring they remain challenged as they learn.
We are thankful to have a giving and caring community at Granbery where our parents and community supporters help to create such a wonderful school. We have a strong PTA and parent volunteers who come in every day to help in any way they can.
Granbery has many programs that help students succeed and be well-rounded. Each year, students read to earn enough points for their chance to design a brick on the AR (Accelerated Reader) Hall of Fame. Granbery students can also participate in after-school activities such as choir, chess club, debate team, Music Makes Us and Girls on the Run.
