Welcome From the Principal
I am very humbled and honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Goodlettsville Middle School. I can assure you that I share in this community’s dedication to caring for our students every day while providing them with a meaningful learning environment.
I firmly believe that every child can achieve greatness and success. The cooperation between home and school builds trust and self-esteem in students. We must help our students use their highest potential to shape their future. My goal is to advance a culture of excellence at Goodlettsville Middle School. I will do this by building a strong school community intensely focused on student learning, solicit and act upon stakeholder input, and engage students and families in pursuing education goals.
I am devoted to continually exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students and to interact with parents and community members more efficiently. The GMS Administration Team will be meeting with staff, parents, and students throughout the year to identify specific goals in the areas of student achievement, school culture/climate, and parent communication and involvement.
I cannot wait to meet everyone! I hope that you are excited about the new school year. It will be a meaningful and memorable year. We will be learning to achieve our highest accomplishments together. If you are near the school, feel free to stop by and say hello! We will do our best to answer any questions that you may have. We are typically in the building between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

At Goodlettsville Middle School, our goal is to set high academic expectations for all children by providing supportive systems to ensure they are successful. By focusing on a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, and increased academic expectations for all students, we will ensure that all students are on track to becoming college- and career-ready.
We offer a variety of classes for students to take, including an array of advanced classes such as Integrated Math and Spanish for high-school credit. We also offer several related arts classes in which students can explore opportunities that interest them. These include Chorus, Band, PE, Art, Spanish and Technology.
Our school is one of only four International Baccalaureate middle schools in the district. In an IB school, students learn valuable skills that will help them in various ways throughout life. Our IB learners are risk-takers who are also caring, open-minded and knowledgeable.
Another strength of our school is our focus on incorporating technology into the daily academic life. Goodlettsville is part of a STEM grant that will help us focus on the sciences, especially with our female students.
