Welcome From the Principal
Hello and welcome to Bellevue Middle School, an IB World School. Bellevue Middle School is in the heart of the Bellevue community and we believe that connecting and partnering with this community is vitally important to the lives of our students and their families. We want to be the heartbeat of Bellevue and welcome you to come and visit at any time.
At Bellevue we prepare our students to be curious, thoughtful, and principled individuals who engage with passion in the pursuit of learning. This does not happen without excellent teachers and staff and we are lucky to have dedicated and talented people in every grade and for every student. As a result of the excellent education students receive at Bellevue, they are ready to move into high school with confidence and with their eyes fully focused on their bright future.
I would be honored to have you come and visit our school and meet our staff. Our door is always open.

One of the top-performing zoned middle schools in Nashville, Bellevue Middle School offers a challenging curriculum in a caring environment. Bellevue is one of only a handful of middle schools in the district that offers the distinguished International Baccalaureate program. We also offer Advanced Placement classes and numerous opportunities to earn high-school credits, as well as the Encore program for gifted and talented students.
All of our students participate daily in our outstanding Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTII) program, which helps them grow in their learning. Our music program consists of three pathways—symphonic band, strings and rock band—which consistently rank at the top level at competitions statewide. After-school sports, club days and intramural days are also part of our regular schedules.
We offer a friendly environment with outstanding teachers, counselors and other professionals who work with our students on academics and social emotional learning. Our teachers and staff are creative, and we are always updating our programs to fit the needs of our students.
Our success is bolstered by a supportive community. Adjacent to our school is a community garden and public library, and both facilities are available to our students and teachers each and every day. Bellevue Middle School also boasts an active PTO.
