Welcome to Our School
Welcome to Westmeade Elementary, a school where we are proud to share the unique and rich cultures of all of our students. As our students share their stories, we are all enriched with deeper understandings of geography and shared human experience.
We hope you will be involved in our PTA and as a volunteer as time permits. You will find parents here every day volunteering in our classrooms in every capacity imaginable. We want you to be comfortable in our school and feel like you are part of the education team at Westmeade.
You will find most of the information you need here to enroll your student, but if you have any questions please feel free to contact us personally. We'd love to talk further about what makes Westmeade great.
At Westmeade Elementary, you will find a welcoming community of caring educators who are also curious lifelong learners themselves. Our students consistently score well on tests, but our primary concern is that your child feels safe and supported as they learn and ask questions.
We believe a healthy child needs a balance of art, music, academics
and physical education to be well-rounded. In partnership with Warner Parks Nature Center, we offer the Young Naturalist@
Westmeade program, which gives students time outside in nature to inspire their natural awareness and curiosity. In addition, our campus is certified by the National Wildlife Federation as a schoolyard habitat—we have an outdoor classroom and garden where students further explore and observe living things.
While we emphasize nature, we are committed to using technology with our students to allow them to be ready for work and life in a technological world. After the school day, students may participate in Boy and Girl Scouts, Forensics Team, Garden/Cooking Club and Dragon Club, which is tutoring for students who need a little extra boost.
