It is truly a pleasure to serve as principal of Tulip Grove Elementary. Tulip Grove strives to be a place where each child is challenged by an active and safe learning environment, positive behavioral expectations and academic success.

Providing an individualized instructional program for our students and building their self-confidence are two of our valued objectives. Our teachers plan content-rich lessons bringing in real-world experiences based on Common Core Standards. Our vision is that we will provide instruction that meets the individual needs of students and lays the foundation for lifelong success.

Tulip Grove Elementary

Pathways

School Description

Tulip Grove Elementary emphasizes a strong commitment to serve the students and families in our community. As an accredited school through Advance-Ed, we take pride in an outstanding staff with a wide variety of skills and experience that are used to create unique and engaging learning opportunities for all of our students.

Learning is supported at Tulip Grove by state-of-the-art technology. All classrooms are equipped with interactive white boards, iPads and computers, and teachers use these to create blended learning experiences for students. We also offer the Encore program for our gifted and talented students, as well as a robust related arts program. Our Art, Music, PE and Technology teachers have been recognized by the district and state for their creative implementation of the curriculum.

In and out of the classroom, we encourage students to exhibit good character and citizenship. One of our most well-known activities is Babes in Toyland in December. This is a service project that all students and staff participate in to provide holiday assistance for Tulip Grove families. This activity is great because everyone is involved in its success and it impacts families' lives within the school. Another popular activity is Read Me Week. The students look forward to the daily reading-related activities, including welcoming community guests, participating in the the Vocabulary Hat Parade and getting the opportunity to read to their siblings.
