Welcome From Our Principal
Hello! I am a Nashville native and a graduate of MNPS schools. I completed my bachelor’s degree at APSU and got my Master’s degree in administrative leadership from Lipscomb University along with earning my EL endorsement. I have participated in the Principal’s Leadership Academy at Vanderbilt, SAIL (a MNPS aspiring leaders program) and served as an Ayers mentor for future leaders with Lipscomb University.
I have spent the majority of my 11 years in the education field working in early childhood education as a kindergarten teacher where I developed a passion for student-centered, developmentally appropriate instruction. Most recently I have served Lakeview Design Center as an Assistant Principal and worked closely with the pre-K, kindergarten and first-grade teams on increasing rigor and gathering and evaluating meaningful data.
I will work to develop a positive culture that centers around the education and development of the whole child while providing a professional development plan to grow teachers through differentiation.

Ivanetta H. Davis Early Learning Center is a child- and family-centered public preschool. Our program educates the whole child while focusing on important skills and development such as literacy, early math and social and emotional learning.
The year prior to kindergarten is an important first step in a child’s experience with peers, making friends and interacting with adults other than immediate family members. At the Ivanetta H. Davis Early Learning Center, children’s growth and development are supported through the studies of the Creative Curriculum, and families are encouraged to support their children by participating in classroom and school experiences throughout the year.
Our hope is to learn about each child and family enrolled in our school and offer the best first step as each child begins the transition into kindergarten. Please feel free to visit and play with us often. Early learning lasts a lifetime!
